First time reader!!

Loved your narrative. And can appreciate that I'm surprised by what's coming out of my own mouth, too.

Maybe it's cause I am becoming more of a Jersey girl. Recently moved to New Jersey.

Maybe it's comfort in my relationship.

Maybe it's both.

Yes I think it could be a mix of everything. Where have you moved to New Jersey from? Has it been a big change. I’ve never been (I’m a Brit) but hear about it often.

Definitely that and Uranus in Gemini, the chatterbox, now!

Thanks for asking-- I'm in Central Jersey and I substitute teach in Princeton. Great students.

This state is very densely populated.

I'm from Colorado, out west. People aren't always speaking their mind, unless maybe in a university city.

Then I lived in a university town in Kentucky before coming here. Landscape reminded me of England (I almost moved there!).

But Kentuckians can struggle to speak their minds because of the southern hospitality. Can make them too polite. Not a fan.

I'm a former journalist and I'm a Pisces. I need to be grounded in bluntness, thank you!

Yes, I struggle with people not being authentic and speaking their minds. Really good to meet you, I feel we have a lot in common dispute our geographical distance.

It still tickles me that since our starting point, (20 years ago?), that we've been living somewhat parallel lives from a distance.

I do wish I'd met Grandpa Joe, who sounds like an amazing human.

Writing has changed my life in so many ways, and yes, in darker times, perhaps saved me. I think that it's important that we don't overlook the power of mindful writing, especially in these busy, always "on-the-go" digital times.

Thanks for another lovely article. Tuesday mornings are always something to look forward to.

Oh Nicki, thank you for making my morning sweetheart. You would have loved Grandad Joe. He grew up in Acomb and was so governed by nature and the seasons, but he was also completely in tune with his body and what he needed. A very special man.

It is incredible how similar our lives have been, isn’t it? So many parallels without us ever realising as we got on with our busy lives as parents in the thick of it. I’m so excited you are taking this next step, it feels so right for you.

And Grandpa Joe sounds like a very rare but wonderful type of person x

He really was sweetheart, you would have loved him xx

It does, right?

I'm excited about it but not in a "new and shiny" way, but a "I've been doing a lot of this for a long time, let's make it official" way.

Bloody terrifying being at the top of your game then a new starter again. But liberating....

I think as long we just keep on putting pen to paper, it'll all work out in the end x

It definitely will honey, we will write our way through the storms and the joys.
