Setbacks and Structure
A rollercoaster writing week
I started last week filled with inspiration. Following a few days off in beautiful Haworth, I was overflowing with enthusiasm, and feeling ready to actually make a start on my new manuscript.
I spent Monday plotting and structuring, and was ready to start writing on Tuesday.
Tuesday morning though, I woke to a message from an expert I had been consulting. The information she gave me was priceless but one of her comments blew my plot apart.
I didn’t know what to do, but I definitely couldn’t start writing until I had ironed out this hiccup. I spent the day reading, doing admin and trying not to think about this enormous setback.
I went to bed feeling deflated but trusting the process.
